A small-town teenaged girl's discovery that her presumed identity is false draws her into the terrifying depths of an alternate reality.

ABSTRACT
Heather Mason, a young woman who has spent the past few years with adoptive father Harry traveling from town to town, has done so under the belief that they are attempting to evade the police for an incident stemming from Harry's self-defense killing of another man. When a private investigator hired by a shady religious order reveals the truth of Heather's existence to her, however, she is forced to wrestle with her own literal demons in the cult-dominated hellish realm of Silent Hill.
