Very realistic cockpit scenes filmed in a vintage 1961 DC-8 show what it is like to be a pilot probably better than any other film. Cliff Robertson, who starred and directed, was a licensed pilot. Originally intended title was The Alcoholic Commercial Airline Crop-Dusting Pilot.
