ABSTRACT
Neil, an American national vacationing through Europe, falls in love with a Ukrainian divorcee and single mother raising her child in Paris named Marina. After going on a snap honeymoon in Normandy, the newly-minted couple and child seek a life together in Neil's native Oklahoma, only to find their love fade and intersect with the storylines of several other individuals after spending extended amounts of time in America. Themes of forgiveness, redemption, and rebirth are touched upon as Neil and Marina's romance thrives, withers, and ultimately dissipates amidst the heat of other emotional concerns.
