ABSTRACT
South Korea, 1986: A series of brutal rapes and murders casts a ghastly pallor over the Asian nation's Gyeonggi province, alerting the attention of local detectives Cho Yong-koo and Park Doo-Man. Their methods of extracting information from suspects are as barbaric as the military dictatorship they operate under; a third murder brings Seoul detective Seo Tae-Yoon to the region, ratcheting up the tension as bodies start to pile up and the trio's search for a serial killer grows increasingly desperate.
