A woman's childhood home, once the site of an orphanage for disabled children, comes back to haunt her family.

Laura, an orphan growing up in Spain with a family to call her own in adulthood, lives with husband Carlos and adopted son Simon in an old house that once played host to an orphanage for disabled children. Simon, a young boy known for his wild imagination, claims to converse with five invisible "friends" existing in their abode; brushed off as a harmless product of his youth at first, Laura realizes that the presence of said "friends" may be all too real when Simon goes missing after her spotting of a peculiar masked boy, leading her to call upon the expertise of five psychologists with a penchant for paranormal matters as the mystery thickens.
