Former Green Beret and Vietnam veteran John Rambo visits a small Alaska town looking for a platoon buddy, finding he died from cancer. The sheriff makes it clear he is not welcome, then arrests him for vagrancy and resisting arrest. Suffering some PTSD, Rambo has a flashback and assaults some of the local officers, escaping into the countryside. He fights a one-man war against the sheriff and his men. Suspenseful portrayal of frustration and psychological damage suffered by veterans.
