Steve, Buddy, and Roger are friends who race their souped-up muscle cars on Mulholland Drive in the Santa Monica Mountains over Los Angeles. Brad Davis was originally offered the lead role. Dennis Hopper plays a washed-up, drugged-out former King of the Mountain. Script is never quite there, but the cars and race scenes are good, as is the soundtrack.
