A British expatriate accused of murder in a revenge plot gone awry falls in love with a police translator.

ABSTRACT
Philippa, a British schoolteacher living and working in Italy, loses her husband and several of her students to product sold by area drug dealer Marco Vendice. Angered by what she sees as an unwillingness by local authorities to apprehend and prosecute Marco for his crimes, Philippa turns vigilante, detonating a bomb intended to harm him; the plan falls through, instead killing four innocent civilians and leaving her accused of murder. Filippo, a translator tasked with speaking to Philippa on behalf of the officers, falls in love with the young woman, helping her to escape as she stands determined as ever on Marco's revenge killing.
