Jodie Foster is young FBI trainee Clarice Starling, sent to interview incarcerated serial killer Hannibal Lecter, portrayed by Anthony Hopkins as one of the most memorable characters ever filmed. She hopes to extract clues regarding a serial killer presently at large, "Buffalo Bill"; the sophisticated Lecter is titillated by Starling's vulnerability.
