ABSTRACT
Ari Folman, Israeli film director decades removed from service in his nation's armed forces, is troubled by a nightmare in which he is chased by a horde of wild dogs. Realizing after a conversation with a friend that he seems to suffer from severe post-traumatic stress disorder borne out of his role in the brutal 1982 invasion of Lebanon, Folman conducts interviews with a number of old comrades in an attempt to paint a cohesive picture of that troubled time in his past.
