ABSTRACT
Adapted from the best-selling John Grisham novel of the same name, Runaway Jury is a legal thriller detailing the efforts of various individuals involved in a court case against a gun manufacturer's attempts to influence its outcome and the complications that result. A day trader is shot dead at his place of business, prompting his widow to sue the gun company responsible for manufacturing the murder weapon. Before long, a spectacle of a trial takes shape, complicated by the unclear motives of video store clerk-cum-juror Nicholas Easter, girlfriend Marlee, and Wendell Rohr, the torts lawyer responsible for taking on the manufacturer's top-flight legal team.
