ABSTRACT Jack Gramm is a top-flight college professor and forensic psychologist, celebrated for his role in producing incriminating evidence necessary to send serial killer Jon Forster to death row. Jack receives a frightening phone call informing him that he has eighty-eight minutes left to live on the eve of Jon's scheduled execution, forcing him to investigate his own womanizing past and ties to a number of curious characters in a hurry to save himself from a "copycat" killer.
