Keywords: Sci-Fi

In a dystopian future where monetary currency has been replaced with time, a factory worker wrongfully accused of murder takes a rich woman hostage with a view to mitigating his society's wild inequalities.

In 2026, humans have been successfully genetically engineered to stop aging at 25. This medical breakthrough comes with a twist, however: Time has become the world's universal currency, turning into something the poor desperately rely on and the rich hoard for effective immortality. When one resident of a poor city, factory worker Will Salas, saves a time-rich denizen of the well-off New Greenwich from an attempted robbery, he is told the truth about time's grossly unequal distribution amongst various classes of society, using this information as inspiration for a perilous quest for greater time equality after he is falsely accused of murdering his new friend.
