ABSTRACT
Claire Spencer, well-to-do wife of celebrated scientist Norman Spencer, lives a life in Vermont profoundly affected by both a recent car accident and daughter Caitlin's departure for college. An argument between the Spencer family's new next-door neighbors and possible murder turns the fragile Claire paranoid, sending her down a chilling road as she becomes party to a series of increasingly terrifying supernatural happenings leading her to believe their home is haunted.
