ABSTRACT
April Burns, an unpredictable young lady living in a cramped apartment on Manhattan's Lower East Side with boyfriend Bobby, decides to invite her estranged by-the-book Pennsylvanian family to town for Thanksgiving dinner. Troubles ranging from a broken oven to difficulties with colorful neighbors mount for April as her well-intentioned gesture quickly devolves into a chore, all while her skeptical family try to convince themselves of the merits of their trip.
