The SPECTRE organization has stolen two nuclear warheads, and demands a ransom from world leaders. Brandauer as Maximillian Largo makes nicely understated villain, Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera delicious Bond girls. Remake of Thunderball (1965), which also starred Connery. Lower budget; one of only two films not part of the Albert R. Broccoli franchise, the other being the original Casino Royale (1967).
