A young Indian woman defies the wishes of her traditionalist parents to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional soccer player.

ABSTRACT
Jess Bhamra, an eighteen-year old British-Indian London woman, harbors dreams of becoming a soccer player that run up against her family's desires for her to attend law school and settle down with a desirable Indian man. Demonstrating a natural skill for her favorite sport playing pick-up games in an area park, Jess is discovered by semi-professional soccer player Jules Paxton and urged to try out for her squad, working her way up the ladder towards her ultimate dream of playing in the United States' Women's United Soccer Association, facing strident opposition from her conservative family all along the way.
