ABSTRACT
Peter and Sara Campbell move to a spooky house in upstate Connecticut when son Matt is taken by a mysterious illness, convinced that a paranormal entity desire to subjugate their family. Haunted by strange specters of the past almost instantly after moving in, the Campbells learn of their home's past as a funeral parlor operated by a clairvoyant; when the clairvoyant resurfaces, they must enlist the services of a priest to save Matt's soul. This formulaic thriller shows promise in spots, though it ultimately fails on an overabundance of cheap "gotcha!" scares.
