ABSTRACT
Jet-setting Hollywood couple Harry and Buffy set out on a romantic "second honeymoon" that sees the pair driving a luxury car through the Arizonan desert. Breaking down at an inopportune point along their journey a day after staying at a motel in the middle of nowhere, Harry and Buffy are drawn to the home of Boy, a widower living a reclusive life in an area once impacted by nuclear testing who ultimately holds the couple hostage and subjects them to his bizarre quirks. Abandoned during filming in 1993 when River Phoenix's fatal drug overdose left the production without its star, Dark Blood was released as is in 2012 for a showing at the Netherlands Film Festival.
