ABSTRACT
James Reece, an up-and-coming aide to the United States Ambassador in Paris, performs small jobs for the CIA here and there with a view to becoming a black ops agent down the line. When he is asked to pick up a government agent by the name of Charlie Wax one night, he is whisked away on a death-defying romp through various ethnic enclaves with the peculiar, foul-mouthed Wax along for the ride, out on a quixotic mission that is later revealed to be part of an attempt to stop a devastating terrorist attack from transpiring in the major European city.
