A fallen action-movie star struggles to recapture the essence of his bygone glory.

ABSTRACT
A semi-fictionalized version of Jean-Claude Van Damme -- "JCVD" -- is a broken-down action-movie standby, so far gone from his career highs that he now finds himself losing straight-to-video roles to the likes of Steven Seagal. Desperate to find inner peace in his native Belgium, JCVD returns home only to become tangled up in a bank robbery-in-progress following an ill-fated encounter with a faulty ATM, producing an unfortunate media circus as cops arriving on the scene look to blame him for the crime.
