ABSTRACT
Silver-screen adaptation of the 2010 Isaac Marion novel of the same name follows "R", a reanimated corpse, around in the wake of a zombie apocalypse as he stalks an airport for human flesh and engages in a rudimentary form of communication with fellow members of the undead. Along the way, he finds Julie Grigio, a living woman, and embarks on a romantic adventure with her that many critics found to be a surprisingly light and fresh entry in a well-worn genre.
