REVIEWS Review by Been there done that (posted on 17-Apr-2009) A harrowing story of child sexual abuse by a priest against orphans in his care in Canada. I saw this many years ago, yet the effects linger with me to this day. The direction, staging, and particularly the acting by Henry Czerny were absolutely riveting. This was portrayed with so much truth that I hated Henry Czerny for years. I felt the dread, the fear of that child. It is an amazing film, but not a happy film. If you want to know what this situation really feels like from the child's point of view, you will not find a more accurate depiction anywhere.
