ABSTRACT
Lars, grown orphan child of a recently-deceased father and mother who died during his birth, lives a peculiar life holed up in the garage of happily-married brother Gus' home. Hopelessly introverted and enamored with bizarre things, love-seeking Lars orders a lifelike sex doll from the Internet, christening her "Bianca" and attempting to enter into a serious, meaningful relationship with the inhuman object as his fellow townspeople try to find a polite way to go about breaking him out of his fantasy world.
