ABSTRACT
George W. Bush held office as President of the United States from 2001 to 2009, presiding over eight turbulent years marked by the worst-ever terrorist attack on American soil, two wars in the Middle East, and a bevy of malapropisms and gaffes running the gamut from putting food on one's family to pretzels. W. is Oliver Stone's silver-screen treatment of the life of one of the most controversial figures in American political history, following him from wild early days through to time spent in the oil business, as Governor of Texas, and in the Oval Office.
