It Came From Beneath the Sea (Jul-1955)

Director: Robert Gordon Writers: George Worthing Yates; Hal Smith Producer: Charles H. Schneer Keywords: Sci-Fi/Horror A giant mutant octopus from the Mindinao Deep attacks ships, an atomic submarine, and San Francisco. Stop-motion work by Ray Harryhausen makes this a classic of the genre. Because of budget considerations, the octopus had six and not eight tentacles, and diesel submarine USS Cubera SS-147 plays the role of the atomic submarine.
