Mr. Nobody (12-Sep-2009)
Director: Jaco van Dormael Writer: Jaco van Dormael Keywords: Drama An elderly man relates his life story through a series of confusing narratives predicated on diverging paths in his existence.
ABSTRACT Nemo, an 118-year old man nearing the end of his existence towards the close of the twenty-first century, relates his long, long life story to a reporter writing a piece on his great longevity. His tale rests on three important points in his life, ones that grow confusing to the reporter as he speaks of "alternate paths" and how his life could have turned out differently if he'd gone one way or another. Mr. Nobody touches on themes of chance, random occurrence, and the fragility of human existence, challenging viewers to decide for themselves whether Nemo's narratives are fact or fiction cooked up for the purposes of a good story.
