ABSTRACT
Created as a Hollywood cash-in on hysteria surrounding a supposed Mayan prophecy predicting the end of the world and/or mankind's ascension to a "higher plane of existence" on December 21, 2012, 2012 follows Jackson Curtis, a writer and Jesus-esque figure who struggles to lead his family to safety when Mayan prophecy holds true and unleashes a series of cataclysmic events threatening to annihilate humanity on the world.
