REVIEWS Review by Richard D. (posted on 21-Sep-2007) Shortbus is a movie about exploration of the self through the lens of sexuality. It is about love and life, and all that jazz as the lives of several New Yorkers come together to explore what sex is. Directed by the same person who did Hedwig and the Angry Inch, this movie has elements of a culture that has the ability to be relevant to anyone. An adventurous gay couple, a dominatrix and her dominated, and a sex therapist that can't have an orgasm.
Some might consider the first 15 or so minutes of this movie to be like a porno, but this movie is not about the sex for the sake of sex, it's about sex as a wonderful part of life.
If you want to feel good about what sex can be, then this is the movie for you.
