ABSTRACT
John Cale, an officer with the Capitol Police assigned to Speaker of the House Eli Raphelson's security detail, decides to join a tour of the White House with daughter Emily as part of an attempt to forge closer ties with her. When a bomb goes off in the Capitol on that fateful day, however, a chain reaction of events is set into motion that forces Cale to do battle to save Washington from being decimated by a paramilitary assault borne out of violent opposition to a controversial proposed Middle Eastern peace treaty.
