The first high school constructed in the Bronx, opened in 1897. New admissions are no longer accepted -- it is in the process of being split into several schools in the old Morris High School building, including: Bronx International High School, High School for Violin and Dance, School for Excellence, Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies, etc.
