Lehman College
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
Founded 1931 as part of Hunter College, became an autonomous part of the City University of New York in 1968. Named for former New York Governor Herbert Lehman. In 1946 the college served as temporary headquarters for the United Nations.
