Marching in the 1986 Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade, Harry Hay wore a vest emblazoned with two messages. The front proclaimed "VALERIE TERRIGNO WALKS WITH ME", and the back said "NAMBLA WALKS WITH ME". He was specifically protesting their exclusion by parade organizers. Hay never actually was a member of NAMBLA.
