Executive summary: Twice Governor of Alabama Military service: US Army Corps of Engineers (Lt, two years) Fob briefly played professional football in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes, 1956. He was founder in 1962 of Diversified Products, Inc., in Opelika, Alabama, a manufacturer of sporting good products and ballasts. At its peak it employeed 1500. The company was acquired by The Liggett Group in 1977, though it continues to manufacture goods under the DP name. Among the planks in his platform for office was his stated willingness to disregard Supreme Court rulings when it came to matters of religion. After leaving office he became CEO of Coastal Erosion Control, Inc. and the Escambia County Environmental Corporation.
