[1] Glass grew up Jewish. In the film documentary Glass: A Portrait of Philip in Twelve Parts (2007) by Scott Hicks, Glass is informed by a journalist that he had been reported as Buddhist. He replies, "I read the same thing! You might say I'm a Taoist, I'm a Hindu, I'm Jewish, I'm Christian. I mean it's true I'm interested in all of these things but I can't say that I'm exclusively anything."
