English chemist Ronald G. W. Norrish won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1967, for his 1947 development of flash photolysis methodology, using flow techniques and short light pulses to study the gaseous free radicals during intermediate stages of extremely fast chemical reactions. He also made a slight but important modification to Draper's Law on the chemical changes produced in a photochemical substance, in 1928.
