As Congressional staffer, inserted language into 1999 legislation which would strip many recording artists of their copyrights by reclassifying them as "works for hire", which if he had succeeded, would have been an enormous gift to the recording industry at the direct expense of artists. He was rewarded for his work when the RIAA hired him as a VP for Government Relations. In 2017 Glazier became President of the organization.
