Bernard Goldberg AKA Bernard Richard Goldberg Born: 31-May-1945 Birthplace: New York City
Gender: Male Religion: Jewish Race or Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: Journalist Nationality: United States Executive summary: Bias Veteran of CBS News for nearly thirty years, whose career there ended with the publication of his work Bias, a New York Times bestseller. The book purported to demonstrate the "liberal bias" pervading American news media. Of course, the content of the news media itself is entirely driven by capitalistic forces. Goldberg has turned into somewhat of a conservative gadfly. An appearance on The Daily Show to promote his book 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (see Bernard Goldberg's List) did not go so well -- the utter irrelevance of his book was painfully highlighted. Very few conservatives made the list -- even obvious candidates such as Ann Coulter (who recommended the use of nukes in the days immediately after 9/11) are excluded -- and many of the "liberals" listed have been out of power or influence for many years: Jimmy Carter is ranked sixth.
