During debate over a Republican abortion amendment on March 21, 2010, Neugebauer shouted "baby killer" at Bart Stupak, who was addressing the House. Democrats demanded to know who hurled the insult, but the Republicans in the chamber would not identify him. Neugebauer waited until the next day to admit that he was the shouter.
