MUSIC

Apocryphal etymologies of the name "Spandau Ballet": (a) Nazi guard phrase describing the death contortions of executed Jewish prisoners in the gas chambers at Spandau. (b) During WWI, the dance a man makes as he is shot repeatedly by the Spandau Machine Gun. In reality, the phrase more likely comes from (c) a graffiti seen on a Berlin toilet wall by journalist Robert Elms.
