Documentary examines the curious existence of nanny and inadvertently prolific street photographer Vivian Maier.

ABSTRACT
Vivian Maier, a Chicago-based nanny in the mid-twentieth century, maintained a prolific set of largely undeveloped street photos taken in her time as a working woman in one of America's foremost industrial cities. Her curious life and body of work, effectively completely unknown until discovered by Chicago historian John Maloof following her 2006 death and released to public acclaim, receives a screen treatment in Finding Vivian Maier, a documentary celebrating the art of street photography's foremost unsung hero.
