A developmentally-disabled young man forms a long-lasting friendship with his high school's football coach.

ABSTRACT
James Robert Kennedy is a developmentally-disabled young man attending Anderson, South Carolina's T.L. Hanna High School, cast aside by his peers and finding solace in an obsessive love of vintage music earning him the nickname "Radio". His school's football coach, sympathetic Harold Jones, forms a friendship with James lasting several decades that sees young "Radio" transformed into an inspirational figure for his small town.
