Pale Rider (28-Jun-1985)

Director: Clint Eastwood

Writers: Michael Butler; Dennis Shryack

Keywords: Western

A small gold-panning community, oppressed by a hydraulic mining baron who covets their lawful claims, receives a visit by a nameless preacher -- albeit one who knows how to administer a proper beatdown. The mere presence of the preacher deludes the miners into turning down a fair buyout offer, so the baron hires a corrupt US Marshall and his six deputy henchmen to evict the miners. Unfortunately, the preacher (maybe he was never a preacher at all) leaves them at a rather critical moment.
