ABSTRACT
World-renowned director Alfred Hitchcock, fresh off the success of 1959's North by Northwest, makes a bid to silence press insinuations that he is too old for his line of work by moving to adapt a psychological horror novel called Psycho to the silver screen. Hitchcock must subsequently move to maintain his relationship with his wife when she, along with the rest of the motion picture industry, is skeptical of and appalled at news of his latest artistic endeavor. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Makeup.
