ABSTRACT
Created by the stop-motion animation team responsible for the Wallace and Gromit series of cartoons, Chicken Run centers on Ginger, a hen living on the Yorkshire farm of a Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy whose romance with new arrival Rocky, a smooth-talking, cool-cat rooster from the United States, comes along just as their farm's owners decide to turn their flock into chicken pies as a means of staving off financial insolvency. Rocky's idealism serves as the impetus for Ginger's ultimate decision to revolt against their owners as the pair soon find themselves in charge of a revolution more than a little reminiscent of George Orwell's Animal Farm.
