ABSTRACT
An African-American-centric comedy about matrimony and family with strong Christian connotations, Jumping the Broom follows Sabrina Taylor, a wealthy young woman from a distinguished background, as a moment of serendipity brought on by her consultations with God following a run of unsavory behavior lands her into the arms of Jason Taylor, a handsome man from a humble upbringing. From there, the happy couple must work to soothe tensions with their respective families and permit cooler heads to prevail as their big day on Martha's Vineyard looms on the horizon.
