REVIEWS

Review by cheryle r. (posted on 14-Aug-2007)

This movie based on Pat Conroy best seller "Prince of Tides" was a 1st class film... There was no way to tell the whole in a 2 hour movie... it would have to have been a mini series... The movie was excellent ... very moving the story of a southern family and the interaction between the parents and children, a family secret about a crime against the family and how people did not deal with mental illness.. The flip side to that is the psychiatrist relationship with the brother of the mental patient and her own fractured relationship with her own son and spouse... It also could be a lesson in You dont choose who you fall in love with...
