Upper class Italian fascists round up 18 teenagers, children of the bourgeoisie, and secure them in a mansion for 120 days of every type of abuse. There are four stages in De Sade's novel: "Antechamber of Hell", initial orientation; "Circle of Obsessions", erotic and homoerotic perversity; "Circle of Shit", rituals of debasement; and "Circle of Blood", where those who broke rules are punished.
