Students at Medfield College convince local businessman A. J. Arno to donate a computer to the school; while maintaining the machine, student Dexter Riley is struck by lightning and his brain is temporarily merged with the computer. Riley now has photographic memory and can perform all manner of mental gymnastics; while on a TV quiz show, an accidental codeword triggers the revelation of Arno's illegal activities. Remade as The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1995).
