ABSTRACT
Frumpy, off-kilter high schooler Bianca, friend to conventionally attractive classmates Casey and Jess, learns that she is thought of as a "DUFF" -- Designated Ugly Fat Friend, a gateway to her more 'desirable' pals -- by way of mean girl Madison's party. Dismayed by the news, Bianca embarks on a mission against the "DUFF" label that sees her working to upend her school's superficial labeling system.
